New GambleAware Helpline provider appointed

The Office of Responsible Gambling has appointed Wesley Mission to deliver the NSW GambleAware Helpline following a competitive tender process.

The NSW GambleAware Helpline telephone service (1800 858 858) provides brief intervention and crisis support 24 hours a day, seven days a week to individuals experiencing gambling harm. The service is free and confidential to anyone in NSW affected by gambling. The service also helps facilitate relationships between GambleAware Helpline clients and GambleAware Providers across our 10 GambleAware Regions in NSW.

Wesley Mission has many years of experience delivering counselling and support services to a wide variety of people in need across NSW, including services to support people impacted by gambling harm. Wesley Mission will commence service delivery of the GambleAware Helpline in January 2023.
