New Responsible Gambling Fund Trustees appointed

Minister for Hospitality and Racing Kevin Anderson has appointed two new Trustees and reappointed an existing Trustee to the Responsible Gambling Fund Trust (RGF).

Experienced senior executive Sara Pantzer and accredited financial counsellor Kylie Holford will take up the new roles to contribute advice on funding of projects and services that support responsible gambling and reduce gambling harm.

Mr Anderson said the two new trustees bring a wealth of knowledge and experiences across a diverse range of sectors.

  • Sara Pantzer is a board director with more than 30 years of senior executive experience across a range of industries, from global pharmaceutical and biotech companies; to national standards regulation, telecommunications and finance, and Ministerial advisory roles. Ms Pantzer’s specialist skills are in public policy, strategic communications, government relations, stakeholder management and market access. Her contribution to the pharmaceutical sector has been recognised through numerous awards.
  • Kylie Holford is an accredited financial counsellor and is currently employed by a not-for-profit industry training provider. Ms Holford has been a counsellor in Central West NSW for almost eight years where she has provided counselling, advocacy and options to her clients. She is a passionate advocate for the promotion of responsible and sustainable gambling practices and has a deep understanding of the issues problem gamblers face along with knowledge and experience in legislation.

Mr Anderson has also reappointed Trustee Elizabeth Lyne for a further term on the RGF.

Ms Lyne, a senior financial professional, has served as a sitting member of the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal (Guardianship Division) and conducted hearings throughout regional NSW.

“I would like to acknowledge outgoing trustees Janett Milligan and Mark McCrindle and thank them for their significant contribution to preventing and reducing gambling harm in NSW.” Mr Anderson said.

The RGF is administered by the Trustees and plays a key role in advising the NSW Government on the allocation of funds for programs and initiatives to minimise gambling related harm.

RGF Trustees provide advice on policy, research, community awareness and service provision to prevent and reduce gambling harm. They also consider grant funding applications in line with the Office of Responsible Gambling’s Strategic Plan.
