New online learning on legal issues and gambling harm

Legal practitioners, gambling counsellors and other community workers can now learn more about the intersection of gambling harm and legal matters, thanks to our new and comprehensive e- learning modules and webinars. 

Six topics are available for self-paced learning:

Gambling and legal Service overview - for counsellors

Learn about the intersection between gambling and legal issues. The eLearning and webinar will build your knowledge and confidence in supporting clients with legal issues. 

Supporting client with court processes - for counsellors

Learn how to support clients who are going through court processes. This eLearning explores the types of actions that will support your clients and gives tips on how to prepare court reports. 

Domestic and family violence and gambling - for counsellors and legal practitioners

Learn more about the intersection between domestic and family violence and gambling and how to connect with other support services. Available as an eLearning and webinar.

Making referrals that work - for counsellors and legal practitioners

Learn more about how to improve your organisation and your client’s capacity to access support services. Available as an eLearning and webinar. 

Gambling harm basics - for legal practitioners and other professionals

Get insight into the issues that clients experiencing gambling harm may be facing, and the strategies that can increase the chances of positive outcomes. Available as an eLearning and a webinar.

Engaging and motivating clients - for legal practitioners

Your clients may be experiencing shame and stigma in relation to their gambling. The e-Learning and webinar offer practical tips on how to practice non-judgemental compassion and empathy to overcome barriers to engagement and improve outcomes.
