Responsible Gambling Fund - Chair and Trustee recruitment 2023
Expressions of interest are invited for appointment to the Responsible Gambling Fund (RGF) Trust. Two vacancies will arise at the end of 2023 due to the expiry of the terms of the Chair and one of the existing Trustees.
RGF Trustees provide expert advice and recommendations to the Minister for Gaming and Racing on the appropriate allocation of funds from the RGF for initiatives and programs to support responsible gambling and help reduce gambling related harm in line with legislation, and the regulatory and policy framework.
The Chair of the RGF Trust provides leadership to the RGF Trust and ensures that the Trustees operate effectively in accordance with the RGF Trust Deed, Policy Guidelines and any Statement of Ministerial Expectations issued by the Minister. The Chair provides guidance and support to RGF Trustees to ensure that the advice and recommendations provided to the Minister are accurate and impartial.
An assessment panel will consider expressions of interest based on merit, taking into account a candidate’s abilities, qualifications, experience and personal attributes relevant to the performance of the duties of a member of the Trust.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their ability to meet the skills, knowledge and/or experience requirements outlined above, in addition to outlining any relevant board / executive related experience. Appointments to the RGF Trust are for a period of up to four years, with the opportunity for renewal. Appointment is expected to commence in late 2023.
Appointment is subject to a privacy and confidentiality deed of non-disclosure and Trustees must declare any conflicts of interest. Applicants will be subject to a probity check.
